How do i get rid of cakey makeup?

I wear Mac Studio Tech for my foundation and it always look cakey,like you can tell i'm wearing foundation. How do i apply this foundation flawlessly?

make sure its your exact shade….or people will notice the difference.
i wear covergirl liquid foundation….and it works well.
plus, dont over apply. only put enough to cover you face, and make sure you blend it into your neck and hairline.
