Everyone Can Have Beautiful Pale Skin
by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Womens Interest
Practically anyone can have beautiful pale skin, if they simply make an effort to avoid the sun. Everyone has some ?color?. But, it is exposure to UV rays from the sun that causes the color to darken, because of increased melanin production. You can reverse the process, if you want, with a few simple steps.
Limiting sun exposure is always the first step. Exposure to UV rays increases your risk of cancer, causes uneven pigmentation and contributes to a generally aged appearance. The underlying cause is free radical damage.
Free radicals are molecules naturally present in the cells of the body. One of their functions is to destroy invading pathogens, like bacteria. But, when exposed to UV rays, their behavior becomes frenzied. They start to attack the cellular membranes and eventually the DNA strands, which can mutate, causing the cell to become a cancer cell.
Researchers have found that as we age, the number of free radicals within the cells increase, while the number of antioxidants, which could neutralize them, decrease. It is essential that we correct that imbalance.
Limiting sun exposure is the first step to beautiful pale skin. Using antioxidant rich creams is the second. Although antioxidants do not have a direct lightening effect, they will reduce age spots, repair sun damage and even out pigmentation with regular use. The antioxidant to look for, because it has proven effectiveness, is coenzyme Q10.
The third step is to look for an antioxidant rich cream that also contains a protein called keratin. It has been shown to stimulate the production of new cells. If sun exposure is severely limited, the new cells will be lighter in color. Within 4 6 weeks, you should start to see a difference.
The fourth step for beautiful pale skin is to look for an antioxidant rich cream that contains the protein keratin and an ingredient called cyperus rotundus extract. Cyperus rotundus is a medicinal plant. The roots have been used for thousands of years to reduce irritation and inflammation, as well as to heal and fade bruises.
In modern times, the extracts have been marketed as anti irritants. Only recently was it discovered that the anti irritant inhibits melanin production by over 40 at a .5 concentration.
When you go shopping for a product, you must be careful to avoid creams containing hydroquinone. It also inhibits melanin production, but is accompanied by an increased cancer risk. You may want beautiful pale skin, but you certainly don?t want skin cancer.
Hydroquinone has been banned from cosmetics by countries in the European Union, but manufacturers in the US are still allowed to use it. It is a common ingredient in expensive age spot creams. Please be sure to avoid it.
There are many things that we may not be able to avoid, such as air pollution and toxins in the environment. But, we can easily avoid creams, lotions and other cosmetics that contain cancer causing agents and other toxins. We just need to be aware that they are there. Now that you know the secrets to beautiful pale skin, you might want to learn more about cosmetic ingredients to avoid. It?s worth your time.
How do you avoid your face from appearing too white in photoes when you apply foundation?
by admin on Feb.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
From another question I posted, I found out that it was the SPF that is the culprit, and if I cannot change foundations, what can I do?
Answer :————————
Well, first of all, why CAN'T you change foundations? I don't see what harm it would do getting something the same price that has less or no SPF in it, and is possibly a shade up from your normal skin tone.
Also, be sure that the problem isn't from the Camera flash, or being too close to it. Being close to a high flash will completely white you out. If it isn't that that's the problem, then I'd say use a mosaic bronzer. Not just a normal one.
A mosaic bronzer will add depth as well as keeping you from looking ghostly. I suggest mark Good Glowing Mosaic Blush is a colour like Sandy. In my experience, tan and gold based mosaic bronzers work best on very fair skin. It keeps you from being the pearl kind of pale and turns you into the gold kind of pale, basically. It also reflects.
So when someone is taking a picture of you, or you are taking one of yourself, the light is going to reflect off of the gold shades and make your skin look warmer.
The bronzer, by the way, is $7 on http://abanaciski.avonrepresentative.com
The BBW Jeans Guide ? Find Your Perfect Jeans
by admin on Feb.02, 2010, under Womens Interest
In every womans wardrobe there should be a pair of jeans. They are easy to wash and maintain and are very versatile and so can be worn when on a cold weekend day while slouching around the home or for a pop to your local restaurant for quick bite with your partner. For the big beautiful woman, it might be a bit of a struggle to find jeans that flatter but with these hints in mind, you?ll be well on your way to getting jeans that make your tummy a washboard, your legs seem never ending and your bum pert and just the right size!
Good packages come in small sizes.
If you are short, then go for straight cut jeans as they are easier to hem without distorting the shape. The only reason to avoid boot cut jeans is because the shape gets distorted when hemmed otherwise there is no reason to avoid them. When buying jeans, make sure it is in a dark colour as this creates the illusion of length. Go for the length that will cover your heels to create an even greater lengthening effect. Try to avoid tapered trousers if you want to look taller.
Nip and Tuck
If you have a bit of a tummy bulge avoid low rise jeans as they do you no favours whatsoever. On the other hand, high waisted jeans can make you look short and frumpy. Instead, go for a midrise pair of jeans preferably with stretch in it as these will balance your proportions. Ensure the jean sits across your midriff as it this will also add a bit of support to the tummy as well getting rid in an instant the dreaded ?tummy spill?. Complete the look and accesorize with a nice belt and you are good to go.
Disguise the thighs.
Wearing boot cut jeans balances the figure and removes attention from the thighs by creating a symmetric fit between hips and the flares. Stretch jeans as long as they are not too baggy and not too tight and fit smoothly are the perfect choice. Too tight and it makes you look larger than you really are. Too loose on the other hand flattens the bottom. Avoid the distressed look. This only focuses attention on the thighs, the exact spot you?re trying to avoid.
Junk in the trunk.
If you have a flat bottom, go for jeans with smaller back pockets as this makes that ?booty? seem larger. Back pockets sitted higher up the bum create an illusion of a curvy derriere as do flap pockets which add texture and thickness creating the wow factor. Skip flat pockets. Slit pockets show off the natural curve of the behind, On the other hand, to turn attention away from a big butt, avoid embellishments on the back pockets as these grab all the attention.
Getting the right jeans need not be a hassle if you can follow these tips. Be prepared to try on lots of jeans until you find one that you feel comfortable in. Know your body type and like everything else in life, accentuate the positives. When you do eventually find one that fits, it would have been worth the hassle.
