I have about 100 $ to spend at the MAC counter, and I'd like to know what to get. I have the Pro palette x15, and have 12 spaces left. I already own All That Glitters, Amber Lights, and Shroom, and a lipstick in Hug Me. I have very fair skin, bright turquoise eyes, and goldish brown hair. When I was younger I loved the cosmetic line by Body & Soul, it was in a teal & silver 50s style packaging and only available at Nordstroms or Sephora. I am trying to find it now and am having no luck, did they go out of business??

It's funny you asked this question because I was just googling trying to find out the same thing. Their sheer lipstick in Jewel is the only lipstick I've worn for seriously about 12 years because the color was perfect, red but not overwhelming and it never gunked up, it had amazing texture. The whole time I worried they would go out of business because they were a small company that didn't seem well run in terms of marketing and getting their product out there. All their products were really great, I loved their powders and foundation too, but they were bafflingly so off-the-radar. They used to be at Barneys but for a long time were only available on their own website or sometimes Sephora website. This was a line started by makeup artists in L.A. and their philosophy about foundation and powder was to start with a subtle yellow toned base even if you're pale, not that horrid pink-toned foundation one always finds for pale skin. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find just a nice neutral, non-pink foundation in pale colors. Since this line started others got a clue and started making some yellow-toned foundations and Le'Clerc always made the Banane powder, but Body & Soul deserved credit for doing something right and something nobody else was doing. I hope they are just restructuring or sold to somebody else and will be relaunched. Good luck to them!

MAC is great! It's the only makeup brand that I will use. But you must be aware that the foundations do have a reputation for breaking people out. Especially the Studio Tech. I use the Studio Fix Fluid and it's been great for me. (:

they want to make sure its safe for humans to wear. but it is CRUEL. animals are just as important as we are. poor little fluffy animals get tortured so we can have a nice eyeshadow. that sound right to you?

Some is better than others, in my opinion. Their mascaras are alright, but dry out pretty fast. Their foundations and other powders are pretty good, and their lip gloss and things of the like aren't half bad. They're far from top of the line, but are worth trying for yourself. Their brushes and whatnot were great for the prices!

As for skin friendly, I have pretty sensitive skin and had very few problems. It's been a while (I don't wear makeup often, so I haven't used any of theirs for a while), but as I recall I had a few issues with their waterproof mascara but not the non-waterproof. I don't remember having problems with much else. My skin didn't really break out from it either, as I recall… Hmm… come to think of it, I should probably order from them… lol

Try checking your local Target before buying online. They should have a (limited) selection so you can try a sampling of their products before paying their shipping.

PS. Sign up for their email list to get coupons before you buy online! They do shipping offers frequently, as I recall.

I've been constantly walking into every Rite Aid, Walgreen, CVS, in the Boston/New England area hoping to find some NYX cosmetics. I saw on yahoo answers that people had ran across NYX cosmetics at Rite Aid. I've got no luck. I'm just not a big fan of purchasing things online. Any help?

Try cutting the tube open and put it in like a sample jar and maybe a little mixing medium, or visine, or fix + and mix it together.
