Advice needed on buying a dark shade (either purple or brown) of Beauty without Cruelty lipstick.?
by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
I've bought lipsticks online before and the shades usually turn out to be different than the ones on screen.I have beige colored skin and I'm looking to buy shades in purple or brown. It would be great if someone who owns these shades has an answer. Suggestions on other brands of vegan lipsticks are also welcome.

if you lips are small never buy lipstick that is darker than the natural color of your lips,it will make them look much much smaller, if you have big lips darker always helps. i think that maybe a plum color or a light brown would look good
What do you do if the lightest foundation is still to dark your skin?
by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
I use the lightest color of foundation and it's still too dark for my pale skin! Do you know what I should do? I read you can mix it with a moisturizer, but then it's more of a tinted moisturizer and i want more coverage than that. Do you know of any really light foundations/concealers? Help!?
Answer :————————
You can use your regular foundation that is currently too dark for you. Then, you can set it with a 'mineral viel' (which is a white non shimmery powder). Loreal makes one that's great, and so does Maybelline. Apply the white powder as if it were a pale powder foundation. You can blend it more to fade the white color or you can add more layers if your face is still too dark.
(Or, you can buy a different brand foundation. Covergirl is pretty good for pale skin. So is Clinique).
Best way to cover up dark circles under the eyes?
by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
What is the best way to cover up dark circles under the eyes without making it look like there's a lot of stuff caked on? I want a natural look, but one that will cover them really well and last all day. If you know of any products please let me know! I'm trying to get more sleep and drink more water to reduce them, but in the mean time I need to cover them. Any other helpful advice would be great! Thanks.
P.S. If you do use a product right now that you know works VERY well, please let me know what it is and where I cant get it

I have dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. What color eyeliner can i use to make eyes bigger?
by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
Sometimes when I put eyeliner on, it makes my eyes look smaller. I don't know how to apply eyeliner so that it makes eyes look bigger because I always see mixed answers about using white eyeliner on the bottom and then i hear to use black so I honestly don't know. Help please? Any suggestions?
Answer :————————
hi, i have dark brown hair and dark brown eyes as well and my eyes are definitely not big. i wear brown Mac eyeliner during the day – not on the bottom though at all. i never wear on the bottom unless i am going out and want the smoky look. i also wear Mac's blue or green eyeliner. it does make my eyes look bigger. go with a color. also, Stilla eyeshadow in "Kitten" is great. it's white and it def. opens your eyes up.
What make up would go with my dark brown hair?
by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
I just got my hair dyed today, and it came out a lot darker than I expected. I'm used to using my regular blush, eye liner, mascara, eye shadow, lip stick, etc. But, now after trying to use all of those products they look weird on me.. What would be the best option to choose now?
Answer :————————
Purples, Blues, or Dark Greens for eyeshadow.
Black or Dark Blue for eyeliners.
Red, Clear Glossy, Dark Brownish Plum, or Nude Shade for lipstick.
Black for mascara.
Use your regular blush becauseblush is supposed to even your skin tone, not complement your hair color. I personally wouldn't wear blush because it can cause break outs, but if you're used to it, nothing should happen.
Hope I helped! xD

Makeup for brunettes with dark brown eyes and pale olive?
by admin on Mar.03, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
Does anyone have any good makeup tips? My hair is quite dark brown, i have dark brown eyes (kind of chocolate brown) and pale olive skin?
Answer :————————
I have the same coloring too and I wear brown, green, purple, gold, pink, and orange. I like to layer two colors together sometimes. For example, I will start out with brown and then put a light layer of green on top. Experiment with blending colors together on your hand first so you can easily wash it off.

Makeup tips for dark brown hair and green eyes?
by admin on Feb.02, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
Right now I use purple eyeliner because it makes my eyes pop. But I don't know how to do my eyeshadow or what colors. I used purple eyeshadow but it didn't look that great.
Answer :————————
Try different browns, especially chocolate tones. Browns and dark greens with copper or gold highlights are also a great choice.
Apricots and taupes are good choices for highlighters.
Dark purples, plums and metallics work too. Coppers and golds will make a really glamorous evening look for makeup tips for green eyes. I personally really like the way deep purples look with dark green eyes.
First up, blues. Any color of blue doesn't do green eyes justice. I would recommend avoiding light blues, dark blues and even some colors (purples or pinks) with blue undertones.
Pinks are also a hard color to judge. Some can look really, really good and others can look really, really bad. This is usually a matter of trial and error.
Silvers are not a good choice either. Leave them for the blue eyes.
Unless you really like black eyeliner, it's usually a color to avoid. Try steely grays or chocolate browns. Use gold or white to open up the eye if your eyes are small.
Guidelines to Match Silk Ties With Suits and Shirts
by admin on Feb.02, 2010, under Womens Interest
In general people think the dark suits are only good in the office. But other occasions, like casual party, would be helped too. Necktie plays an important role in a style statement, unless until you select it creatively. You can also be a confident and pleasant singing star when with a smart tie or a shirt in exaggerated color. And some of them might work for you and you could find some useful tips on how to match your neckties, shirts, and suits.
If you have a shirt in bright green, you can try the rule of bright color match. In fact, the key to wear a shirt in the exaggerated color is not only to match with a suit in dark color, but also you need a necktie in the dark color tone. Only with such a large area of dark color, your shirt can be shinning from its own glory.
If you know about the checked coordination method then you will have no problem being able to match checkered shirts and striped ties. The selection of cloths is not as difficult as you think of. You find a right shirt if that color is in your checkered shirts and find a base color from your neckties these are the basic rule to follow.
People tend to have problems figuring out how to work with flower patterned shirts and dark colored suits. The shirt itself can be full of special feature if it has unique printed patterns. It is not suggested that you attempt to match up those shirts with the suits, particularly not the formal suits. Your best bet for a suit is to use a plain shirt, not one of those splashy ones.
The exaggerated shirts, of course, can go with a bold tie. However, it is not the style for your daily office outfit. You are still going to require a plain dark toned necktie to wear to the office. As for the dark color shirts, you should know whether it is the right time to wear them. Wear at night; please avoid the white necktie most of time; a necktie with colorful patterns can neutralize the dull from the black color and these are the three classic tips for the black shirts.
When matching striped ties with striped shirts, the danger is in having too much or too little of either motif, so be careful to maintain a balance. The distinction in different stripes is based on the broadness of the stripe and also on the space between stripes. It is an accepted practice for necktie stripes to be narrower than those on a shirt. Moreover, regardless of striped shirts or striped ties, the color should be neutral and peaceful if the stripes are extensively applied. Multicolor matching is never look good for any occasion.
Especially when you present yourself as a whole image with a shirt, suit, and necktie the balance is very important for your clothing match. Two key elements one must consider are pattern and color. If you are looking to see if the three are going to match up with each other, then you need to stick them in a full outfit. To avoid these pitfalls, first pick the main color based on the occasion, and then accessorize with complementary detail colors or patterns in the neckties or shirts.
