i'd like to try a face powder from the drugstore or walmart, but i don't know how to match the color. those hold over your hand guides are bull because my face isn't the same color as my hands. how can i match my color without tearing open the package, and if it does not match, will i be able to return?

well i always do this when buy drugstore stuff—
there r mirrors there rite?so i hold the packaging near my face and look at it closely–which ever one is closer to me ,lighter,i get that……not darker…..(but thats me)
ut get loreal true match…u can check out your shade by the swatch they have at the store

Hi, everyone! Ok, well just yesterday i was at my local Rite Aid, and i wanted to buy some foundation, and to be specific, it was Maybelline Pure.Makeup foundation. But im african american and i have bronze brown skin(like Ciara's) and they only carried, like 4 colors and they were all ivory and light skinned colors. How do i know what Riteaid carried my shade, im any foundation???

My favorite brand is definitely Maybelline. Their mascaras are amazing, most of their foundations are pretty good, their eyeshadows are pretty pigmented, nice bronzers, and tons of lip colors. Not to mention they have great powder called Dream Matte. I recommend the whole line to you because it`s affordable and the products are awesome. You can buy at any drugstore or Wal-Mart. Hope I helped.

ok i used to have the revlon one where u twisted the cap to get different shades but i got quite bored of it.. and i got revlon colorstay.. to me, it seems like it leaves uneven spots and my mom said my face looks terrible in the light with all the "stains" as she sees it. i also saw that rollon foundation/ coverup that was on TV but it looks too good to be true… and what about the revlon picture ready or something like that?

im looking for liquid makeup that looks even and gives a hint of color

I heard Revlon Photo Ready is really nice.
I use L'Oreal True Match (original, not roll on) and I love it. There's a huge selection of shades, and it blends very well.

I am a huge makeup fan and was wondering which is better and why? Is one worse for your skin? Some people say bad things about drug store makeup, but I think the quality is just as good especially if your on a budget. I do admit when I have the money I may splurge on MAC and others. Any opinions????

So I'm in need of some new mascara and am going to CVS tomorrow. I'm using Maybelline New York Big Lash which I've been using for years (well, regular Maybelline mascara) but it's always given me raccoon eyes and I don't even coat my bottom lashes (for whatever reason I just deal with it) as well as clumps and flakes. Not to mention takes forever to take off.

I've looked into the Organic Wear mascara from Physicians Formula so any thoughts on that? And if not, can anyone recommend any good mascaras that won't clump, flake, or smudge? All I really do is line my lop lid with a dark brown eyeliner and then a coat or two of mascara; I perfer a more natural look than over-the-top noticeable.

i'm 13 and in 7th grade. i'm indian and my skin is medium/dark. i have deep, deep brown eyes. i needed a long lasting, fresh makeup look. for some reason my eyeshadow just dissolves into my lids (my eyelids are oily). how do i stop that? thank you!

If your lids are oily, primer will solve that.

For a natural look, just some revlon pencil liner, sorry don't remember the exact name.
L'Oreal Voluminous mascara
L'Oreal HIP paint pot eyeliner, it's pricy but good for a drugstore. I prefer it over my MAC fluid line.
Maybelline Chai Latter quad, it's great for naturals
Cover Girl Eye Enhancers in the gold, brown, cider, vanilla colors
Find a purple and anothermatch to go with your eye on a day you want to be "noticed"
Foundation depends on you, Revlon's ColorStay or L'Oreals TrueMatch. Both worked for me.
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder if you get the foundation
Concealer is your choice.
I haven't found a good drugstore blush/bronzer yet.
