What to do with false eyelashes after you take them off?
by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
1st, thanks to all who answered my 1st question on how to apply false eyelashes. Now I need to know what to do when you take them off. My fake lashes look ready for garbage can. Lashes are all knotted & glue stuck. Please advise on follow up once they come off. Thanks.
Answer :————————
Well most false eyelashes you can actually use them a few times if you take good care of them until they're recked. Like if its your first time using that pair you usually just take them off your lashes carefully then just peel the glue off carefully and you can reuse them. But it sounds like yours are ready for garbage since the lashes are knotted and if you cant peel the glue off. Time to buy new ones! =D
Help me decide: false lashes or waterproof mascara for a week?
by admin on Mar.03, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
I'm going on a trip to Europe with my school in March, and was thinking about bringing waterproof mascara for the plane and for the week… But I last time I used waterproof mascara in Mexico (for a week), my lashes got sooo dry, and it always flaked and was hard to remove, which resulted in me being too hard on my eyes. (And yes, I did use an oil based remover!) I really don't want to be walking around everywhere trying to enjoy myself when my makeup is driving me crazy!
Anyways, I've noticed that some people use false lashes more than once (like, on an everyday bases) instead of mascara, and I thought that it might be better to use false lashes on the plane (and for that week) instead of waterproof mascara.
(Even if I choose false lashes, I probably will end up bringing regular mascara as well…)
Oh! And if I bring a small eyelash adhesive glue in my carry-on, do you think they would take it away?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be nice.
Answer :————————
water proof mascera is torture for the lashes, i accidentally bought it once when i overlooked the package. when i used it for about a week i noticed my normally long, full lashes were falling out(3 to five at a time) and the roots were getting sore.
false lashes are good for special occasions, i have never met anyone personally that used them on a daily basis. if you are up for the hassle, go for it.
my best advice however is regular mascara!
and no, they will not take away the adhesive glue due, the tubes are tiny! so dont worry about that

Ardell or Sonia Kashuk False Eyelashes?
by admin on Feb.02, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
I want to try false lashes for the first time, but can't decide between Ardell and Sonia Kashuk lashes. Ardell seems better, since the lashes are human hair, but I'm not sure. Has anyone tried both and preferred one over the other?
Thanks!
~Cammy~
Answer :————————
I don't really have a preference between them they both look good, human hair or not. I have more Ardell lashes because they're more convenient for me to buy. I think since it's your first time, you should go for the Ardell ones, because they tend to be cheaper. You're probably gonna need some practice the first few times you use em; once you get used to it you can try out the more expensive ones. Good luck!
Do you wear false eyelashes? If so, what is the best way to…?
by admin on Feb.02, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
… what is the best way to keep them on?
Which glue is best?
Answer :————————
I sometimes do for special occasions, and in my experience, individual ones look the best and most natural. Most beauty supply stores sell good adhesives.
