How often should you use eye gel?

by admin on Mar.03, 2010, under Makeup Q & A

Is it bad to use eye gel every single day when I'm only in high school?
I plan on using it every night before bed time. I heard that's when it works the best. I don't have puffyness and I don't think I have dark circles so is it still okay to use it?
Someone told me it have anti-aging effects and they told me that it's a good idea to use a bit of anti-aging stuff now so I don't have to deal too much with that later.

So is it okay or should I just wait until I'm in college or older?
Answer :————————
It's not going to do any harm to you, just use it at night.
However I'd argue if you use certain products now i.e. products that have anti-aging ingredients in it or whatever, you'll grow to be immune to these products later on.
But right now, they're beneficial to you.
But you since you don't even need it, it's used as a prevention product first of all, so you don't need to really use it other than at night while your skin is healing etc

A Brief History of Silicone Gel Breast Implants

by admin on Feb.11, 2010, under Womens Interest

The FDA approved silicone gel implants for unrestricted use in 2006. This has resulted in a boom for the silicone gel breast implant. Perhaps the manufacturers deserve it, after suffering through fourteen years of scrutiny by the FDA?

Women all over the United States are opting for breast augmentation surgery. They want larger, firmer breasts and they don\’t care how much it costs or what the risks are ? well, some care, but the vast majority don\’t! This increasingly popular cosmetic procedure has become a very common practice, almost as common as getting your teeth cleaned at the dentist. Ask any woman if she has a friend who has breast implants, and she ll likely tell you that she has several. She may also say that she is seriously considering the procedure herself!

There are currently two types of approved breast implants for breast augmentation surgery: silicone gel and saline. For fourteen years, the saline breast implant enjoyed a monopoly on the breast augmentation industry in the United States, but ever since they lifted the ban, silicone gel implants have steadily increased in popularity and they are now the number one choice for women undergoing breast augmentation.

The silicone gel implant was first invented by two surgeons: Gerow and Cronin. It was made commercially available in 1962. Within a few years, silicone gel came under scrutiny by the public at large, and from that point on it has been a rough battle for manufacturers of this particular type of breast implant.

Early on, silicone gel implants were believed to cause cancer. This fear was later annulled by the medical community, but the fear seed had been planted, and it would sprout again and again over the years whenever anyone with silicone gel implants caught so much as the common cold!

During the 80 s, breast augmentation surgeries were on the rise, and silicone gel implants were the number one choice among women for their procedure. Their popularity continued into the early 90 s. But while their popularity was growing, so was the public s uncertainty about their overall safety. Critical mass was reached when thousands of women filed lawsuits against the primary manufacturer of silicone breast implants, Dow corning. Not long after those lawsuits were filed, Dow Corning filed bankruptcy. The FDA stepped in at that point and banned the use of silicone gel implants until they were able to conduct a thorough clinical trial to determine their overall safety for public use.

It took the FDA fourteen years to finally give silicone gel implants their stamp of approval for unrestricted used in breast augmentation surgery. The monopoly that saline implants once held is now gone, and silicone gel implants have become once again the number one requested breast implant for breast augmentation procedures in the United States.

Without doubt, the silicone gel breast implant is the most studied and analyzed medical device in the history of medicine! But does that mean they re safe for your body? You should consult with a licensed, board certified plastic surgeon to help determine that answer.

Would you like to learn about the latest technological changes in silicone gel implants? And perhaps you d also like to learn about the latest improvements in breast augmentation surgery? If you would like to learn more about either, you should schedule an initial consultation with a licensed, practicing plastic surgeon who specializes in breast augmentation surgery.

What are eye gel for?

by admin on Feb.02, 2010, under Makeup Q & A

What does eye gel do for your skin? Is it like eye cream?

I'm a high schooler, is it okay for me to use an eye gel or will it damage my skin?

I want to try April Bath and Shower Eye Gel. For people who have tried it, is it good?
Answer :————————
Eye gel is usually to help reduce lines and bags under your eyes. The one I am currently using is Biore eye gel and I been using it for a while now. I did not get enough sleep for a couple of months now, so my eyes have been looking very red and dull. But when I started using the eye gel, I could see my eyes have finally started to gain back its color and the bags are starting to lighten up. Unless you have really bad bags or lines under your eyes, I do not recommend you using it. The correct eye gel usually helps your skin. Sorry, but I have not tried April Bath or Shower eye gel. I would recommend Biore for you though :D .

What is the Difference Between Silicone, Saline, And Cohesive Gel Implants?

by admin on Feb.02, 2010, under Womens Interest

Women all over the globe are opting to have breast augmentation surgery. Women who live within the United States currently have only two choices for the procedure: silicone gel implants and saline breast implants. If you live outside of the United States, more than likely you have a third option for your breast augmentation procedure: cohesive gel implants (also called gummy bear breast implants).

A lot of women wonder what the differences are between each implant. This article will discuss the major pros and cons of each.

Saline implants are considered the safest implant in the world. This is mostly because they are filled with a harmless saltwater solution that is very much like the fluids already found in the body. If a saline implant were to rupture, the saline solution would pose little to no threat to the body. Additionally, saline implants deflate very quickly when ruptured. A ruptured or leaking saline implant is easy to detect and allows a woman to seek corrective options as soon as possible.

Saline implants have only one major drawback: they don t move or feel like a real breast! Men and women unanimously agree that saline implants feel more like water balloons than actual breast tissue.

Silicone gel implants have a history of controversy that has caused major manufacturers to close their doors due to frivolous lawsuits. The controversy eventually led to the FDA banning the implant altogether for fourteen years. Despite the controversy and the ban, silicone gel implants are the most popular implant in the United States. Why? Because they move and feel like a real breast! Men and women both agree that silicone gel implants mimic a real breast much better than saline implants.

There are two major drawbacks to silicone gel implants. The first: their safety. Although the FDA has approved silicone gel implants for unrestricted use, their overall safety is still in question. The second drawback: when they rupture or leak, it is almost impossible to detect without the aid of an MRI. Even your plastic surgeon will not be able to detect most silicone gel ruptures. The reason why this is dangerous is because the silicone gel implant could be leaking for years before it is visually noticeable!

The third type of implant currently available is the cohesive gel implant. Despite the fact that this new implant has not been approved by the FDA, it is rapidly gaining popularity within the United States.

The primary benefits of cohesive gel implants are that they appear to be impervious to rupture and or leakage, and that they do not lose their shape over time. A cohesive gel implant is a solid piece of material; therefore it cannot leak because it does not contain any liquid! Early research suggests that these implants are highly resistant to the effects of aging and gravity.

Can you guess what is the number one drawback to cohesive gel implants? The answer: they aren t approved by the FDA! The Federal Drug Administration could take another five to fifteen years before they finally give their stamp of approval for this new implant.
