thanks

There are alot you could do with your eyes already! But you can try putting a silvery shimmer or an opaque white in the area or your tear duct it supposedly makes your eyes look more awake. Also try lining your bottom eyelid with white eyeliner that also gives your eyes a rounder and bigger look. You could also invest in mascara that lengthens your lashes or you could also go with falsies.

hope I was of any help :)

How can I prevent makeup meltdown without changing makeup products?

by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A

I always do my makeup before I go to school and by the time I get home, it's like the foundation had dissapeared, my mascara gives me gray under eye circles and my eyeshadow is almost not there anymore. It's frustrating cos I don't want to fix my makeup every hour.
How can I prevent it from melting off? It's winter here right now and I don't get why it's coming off since there is no heat. Maybe the oils on my skin are contributing but it's very annoying to have a makeup meltdown during the day. Thanks so much, any help is appreciated!
Answer :————————
Are you preparing your face before you apply? It's important to wash and dry your face before you apply any makeup, and even use toner if you have oily skin. Have you tried a foundation primer? It helps to keep your foundation on your skin instead of on your collar or halfway down your face.

Apply your foundation with a soft makeup sponge and blend well around your jawline/neck and hairline. It's vital to set this with powder applied with a proper powder brush instead of a crappy little puff that usually comes with drugstore powders. Like the foundation, you need to blend this well. I would actually reccomend a translucent powder to set your foundation, as it doesn't show up on your skin but will do it's job well.

With your eyeshadow, are you applying this over foundation on your eyelids? That's a big no-no. Eyeshadow stays put better when you apply it onto clean, dry eyelids and apply your foundation/powder last. You can get eyeshadow primers but I don't think drugstore brands sell them, so you might have to get one by MAC or Napoleon Perdis which are my favourite brands. Try applying your eyeshadow on your bare eyelids first, because you might find that the primer is unnecessary.

Check if your eyeliner/mascara is waterproof. This is very important. Don't be scared of waterproof makeup like some people are – it's incredibly easy to remove with a cotton ball and baby oil, so don't avoid it simply because you don't like taking it off.

Because it tends to rain a lot in Winter, it evaporates from the grass/pavement which means there is a lot of moisture in the air. Obviously this will make your makeup smudge and fall around your eyes, so you might take that into consideration.

Oh, and have you heard of facial blotting papers? They're small, thin pieces of paper that you can take from a little package to soak up any excess oil on your face. They are usually made with teatree oil which is in a lot of acne or oil-reducing facial products. A brand called Bloom sells them at a reasonable price, but you might be able to find them cheaper if you look in pharmacies, etc. Don't trust anything from a $2 shop, lol!

Good luck :-)

YouTube Makeup Requests?

by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A

I'm trying to become a makeup guru on youtube. I was wondering if anyone had any requests for videos, or if you have any advice. Thanks!
Answer :————————
maybe you can start with the basics, and then go on to brushes and their uses, followed by your personal ideas for everyday and natural looks. then you can do more specific things like, valentine's day, holidays, how to make a nose look smaller, eyes look wider, etc.

there's a market for everything!

GOOD LUCK !!!

Makeup tips for girls who wear glasses?

by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A

I wear glasses all the time and i love makeup, but i really don't know what im doing with it lol.
Do you have any tips as to what makeup things I shoud use, how to use them, any makeup I should steer clear of, or some key looks i should try?
Answer :————————
I have glasses too…I usually wear more neutral colors..sometimes when I want my eyes to pop a little more I use a plum…but it also depends on your eye color, shape, and lids…if you use eyeliner then that might make a difference too. I get a lot of complements on my eyes when I use eyeliner. but don't use too too much because you don't want it to look bad. Hope you can find something that works for you!!
8-)
{us glasses girls gotta stick together}

How should I do makeup for Pacman & Ms. Pacman?

by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A

My bf & I are hosting an 80s theme party & we're going to be Pacman & Ms. Pacman. I'll be using makeup on both of us. We're both using yellow paint. I have a good idea on mine (red lipstick, big eyelashes) but how should I do his? Also if you have any more tips for my makeup, add them.
Answer :————————
I would use black on his lips to kind of make it a contrast when he opens his mouth. Use white around his eyes in a circle and outline them in black as well.

Have fun at your party!

Makeup looks! any advice?

by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A

I'm 14 with pale skin
I don't break out often and if I do its not that bad
green eyes that are sometimes blue or hazel (weird I know)
rosy cheeks
brown curly hair
what would look good on me?
Answer :————————
Use that orangey toned blush, it looks good on fair skin. A teeny weeny bit of eyeliner, like a thin line around your eyes. Mascara, for sure. Try straightening your hair. Use a pink shiny eyeshadow to complete the look if you'd like.

Where to get makeup samples?

by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A

Well I'm kinda thinking to try out mascaras and concealers, foundations, ect. Even if it is not free, could you list the shops that have makeup samples? I live in Canada if that helps! Thanks :D
Answer :————————
Sephora always gives free samples online and in their stores. All you have to do is ask. Also, if you have an Ulta near you, they`ll give free samples too. Hope I helped.

How much makeup should a 13 year old wear?

by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A

I wear:
-Eyeliner (on top lid only)
-Metallic silver eyeshadow (with black shading in the corners, it does look nice [:)
-Nude pink lip gloss
-OIL FREE (doesnt cause acne) foundation (and not much at that)

Honestly, I don't think it's too much.
And please don't mention I should wait till I'm like 16 or something. I mean… 16?! That's a long ways away… and makeup is a big thing to me [:
