sorry for so many questions but which is a great foundation sold in MACY's thats under $40 and has great coverage and which will not make me break out ( i have acne prone skin or sensitive skin)..i just tried MAC studio fix fluid and i got few small pimples already..so suggest a great brand other than MAC please..

I had the same problem so I took mines back to MAC. I would suggest clinique as they make their products for sensitive skin (but for me, since I have a yellow undertone to my skin, I couldn't find my perfect match of face powder color the color they matched me up with made my face look too white and the next color up would make my face look muddy; it might work for you, depending on your skin tone and undertone) I would suggest going to Sephora and trying either Tarte (they have a set with foundation, face powder, bronzer and primer), or Sephora brand, or even a drugstore brand. A lot of the other brands like Chanel are made for a more full coverage like the studio fix line (which can cause acne).

I have oily/acne prone skin. I have been using Clinique's moisturizer in the yellow square bottle. Just recently I got two primer samples from Sephora. A Korres Primer and Smashbox Photofinish Primer. I seem to like Korres better. But, I've heard that Murad Oil Control Mattifier is a better choice as it is both a primer and moisturizer. Is Murad a good product? Thanks so much.

ok so in dimmed or other certain lights i look so beautiful but like in the school lights my face looks suckish and blaha nd non vibrant. which fundation can i use to make my skin looks so flawless and beautiful in the harsh school lighting?? please this girl and me are always in the bathroom and she looks so much prettier than me adn im like so depressed about it. so please help me out:)

The MUFE foundation or NARS glow foundation!! My best one yet? Giorgio Armani Luminous silk! People tell me I look like V. Hudgens so when I learned she uses it I tried it on and it really makes skin glow and it looks flawless and natural! I'm a sophomore btw and I know what you mean about school lighting…suckish right? but its just an illusion I think, always see yourself in natural light

I've been looking for a good foundation and powder for a while. I have tried a lot of drugstore brands, but none of them worked for me. So I decided to save up some money to buy some better makeup. So I have heard that Clinique and Mac have some really good foundations. Which of these 2 brands do you suggest getting?
Oh, I'm going to be 14 next month and I have sensitive, combination, acne prone skin. I prefer liquid foundations because powder ones make me look chalky especially since it's winter right now. Oh, and I'm looking for something that looks very natural.

I am so fed up with the lack of makeup colors for black woman and tired of spending money on expensive makeup products that dont always look the same once you leave the store. You take the time to have a beauty consultant match the right color for your skin (M.A.C.) and it doesnt look the same in natural light. i end up with an orange, greasy looking face. Even some drugstore brands, some colors are either to dark for me or to light, never an in between .Can any one recommend a brand for black woman that will give me a natural look, not a chalky cakey orange appearance. I'm thinking of trying MAC one more time since they have a mineral line or Fashion Fair and even covergirl queen collection, or black opal (so hard to find in drugstores nowadays). Any suggestions on these brands mentioned or others greatly appreciated.

Try MAC again. You should be able to exchange your mismatched foundation there. Also, ask them to try mixing two shades for you to achieve the right look. Liquid is easiest because you can count the pumps)
I also like Sephora myself because they have way more products to choose from and have mix shades for me before. Try the Dior brand.

So, I'm usually pretty good with makeup, but I can't get the eyeliner on the ROOTS of my eyelashes, I don't want it on the waterline, but on the roots, and I don't want it on the skin underneath my eye. I want it to look like, when you accidentally fall asleep with makeup on, and you wake up and it's like a little smudged under your eye, but it's on your eyelash roots, because you forgot to take off the mascara, and just all of the makeup. Every time I do it though, it's uneven. So I have no idea, any tips? Thanks.

There is a very little chance of it harming your skin. It depends which foundation you use and how much chemicals are in it, try use and organic foundation. If you want to be totally sure it wont harm your skin, use a primer so the foundation wont react with your skin. Eyeliner wont be so bad but if you press down on it too much, your skin will have wrinkles around the eyes. Hope this helped =)

that's me. I have warmer skintones, so i know i would be an NW, but i have no clue what number, and there's no MAC counter or store within driving distance of me, so I want to order one online. can someone please give me an estimate?

I would actually say to get an NC rather than NW. For MAC, the warm/cool thing is switched, meaning NW is for people with cool, pink undertones, and NC is for people with warmer, yellow/golden undertones. I would recommend anything between NC 30 or NC 35. But nobody can be sure by determining it over the computer. Something that may help is taking your current foundation, and going onto the MAC website and holding your foundation bottle up to the screen and finding the one that matches best.
