What kind of nail polish do you suggest?

by admin on Mar.03, 2010, under Makeup Q & A

I'm ten years old, and i want to know what kind of nail polish do you suggest, i'm the girly type, and i'm tan since i'm mixed with black and white. Thanks!
Answer :————————
Avon Nailwear Pro Nail Enamel. It's $5 on http://abanaciski.avonrepresentative.com
They have a lot of really cool colors that would look good on you. There's a yellow called Sunshine that would look really awesome with tan skin. And a really bright blue color called Lagoon.
Your mom will probably buy them for you because she'll see a couple she'll like, too. Tell her to check them out.

How to make nail polish chip less?

by admin on Feb.23, 2010, under Makeup Q & A

So, no matter what kind of nail polish i use, it chips within a day. I don't want to get my nails done professionally because i like to save money (and I kinda like doing it myself lol)…so I was wondering what i could do to make it not chip? what i usually do is apply 2 coats of whatever color I'm using, then a clear coat. I bought an OPI color thinking that maybe it would work better, but the tips started to chip like the next day!
My main problem is that it tips from the top, and I hate it when it does that! So, my question is, do you have any suggestions to make that not happen or maybe a different nail polish to try (one that's not over 8 dollars please lol)
Answer :————————
Use a clear base to start, And a clear finisher after, Vwala xo

Nail polish stain not going away?

by admin on Feb.19, 2010, under Makeup Q & A

I used this nail polish and had it on for a week or so. Yesterday I took it off with a nail polish remover but my nails now look a bit reddish and I can't get it off with a nail polish remover. It must have been a very low quality nail polish to do this. I just hope it's not dangerous as in going into my skin via the nails. How should I get it out?

Nail Polish: How to make it last long and chip resistant?

by admin on Feb.02, 2010, under Makeup Q & A

It's not that I like painting my nails so much as that I don't want my nails to chip! My job requires that I use my hands a lot so my nails end up chipping from grabbing stuff too fast. Someone I work with gets manicures and she said that she asks for a gel coat when she gets her nails done and nails look way thick.
So, I bought some but I don't know the whole layering part? Can someone give me some nail painting advice?

Does the gel coat go on first or last? How many layers of it should I paint? Do I need to put a top coat on?
Also, someone said I should buy biosculpture nail polish, what do you think?
Answer :————————
I have the same problem and totally understand how you feel. The real key to long lasting nail polish is letting each layer dry before painting the next.
Your first coat should be a base coat. The base coat can be very expensive but for your nails to really last a long time, it's okay to go overboard on this.
Your next two coats of nail polish will be your color. Paint a very thin layor of color and let it dry for about 15 minutes. After fifteen minutes you can paint the second layer.
The top coat goes on last. After painting all four layers of nail polish let your nails sit for about 15 minutes before really using your hands.

If you decide to use a gel coat, it should go on last. Some people do use gel coats and love them others think that they make their nails feel heavy and over done. Using the gel coat is your chose but it isn't required.
Biosculpture nail polish really isn't very different at all from regular nail polish except for the fact that it tends to be a little big more flexible. This really might seem like it will solve your problems but in the end it really doesn't make that big of a difference in your nails.

Hope I Helped!!!!
