i use a foundation brush but you can use your fingers also.
you'll usually get a more even, clean complexion when you apply the foundation with a brush and the makeup is more evenly dispersed over the face.

i use a zuza foundation brush.
it was only $10 Australian dollars, thought it works well
i don't find that i need a really expensive foundation brush

I've been experimenting with eyeshadows lately. I normally sick to colors like brown, green, and once in a while I'll go for a silver smokey eye. I was thinking about trying out pink but I don't know if that would look crazy on me or not…..

Rimmel is one of my fave brands. These are my favorite products from their line:

Lasting Finish Foundation- light weight, blendable, gives the perfect medium coverage, looks freshly applied all day, and does not rub off onto clothes.

Glam Eyes Mascara- no clumps, amazing volume and length, no bad smell, not messy

Kajal eye pencils- they come in a great assortment of colors and they make your eyes pop

It depends on if you are comfortable wearing it. I think red is very classic and looks good on everyone as long as you stick with a neutral eye and light blush application. Also I would go to a makeup counter and let them find your perfect shade (MAC is good at this), the wrong or right undertone can make a HUGE difference. I am uncomfortable wearing it, but if you have the confidence I say go for it!!!
