Has anyone tried the dermalogica clean start products?
by admin on Mar.03, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
i'm really interested in purchasing the starter kit, i'm 20 and still suffering from acne. i don't know what else to do and i've already tried proactiv, acne free, etc. etc. i don't have severe acne, just light to moderate with a bit of scarring. the acne products out there are just so harsh on my combination skin, i end up half oil slick, half flaky and dry. not cute.
Answer :————————
i like clinique
i dont have severe acne either and their 3 step just cleans your face and gets rid of acne before it even surfaces.
its amazing…its a lotion, face cleanser and soap.
OR
try the loreal stuff. my friends <3 it!
Who have tried elf cosmetics?
by admin on Feb.27, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
is it worth buying? is it skin friendly? i'm planning to try it so i need to know first. thanks!
Answer :————————
Some is better than others, in my opinion. Their mascaras are alright, but dry out pretty fast. Their foundations and other powders are pretty good, and their lip gloss and things of the like aren't half bad. They're far from top of the line, but are worth trying for yourself. Their brushes and whatnot were great for the prices!
As for skin friendly, I have pretty sensitive skin and had very few problems. It's been a while (I don't wear makeup often, so I haven't used any of theirs for a while), but as I recall I had a few issues with their waterproof mascara but not the non-waterproof. I don't remember having problems with much else. My skin didn't really break out from it either, as I recall… Hmm… come to think of it, I should probably order from them… lol
Try checking your local Target before buying online. They should have a (limited) selection so you can try a sampling of their products before paying their shipping.
PS. Sign up for their email list to get coupons before you buy online! They do shipping offers frequently, as I recall.
Have you guys tried Neutrogena makeup?
by admin on Feb.26, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
Have you tried their makeup? Did you like it?
Answer :————————
i currently use a foundation and concealer by them and i love both of them so much!
the most important thing to note when buying any of their face products, like foundation, is to make sure it says "Oil Free" somewhere on the product because if it doesn't, the oil in the product can clog your pores and make you break out.

If you have tried Clinique Superfit foundation, was it watery?
by admin on Feb.23, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
I currently am using Superfit and I find it to be VERY watery. When it goes on my face, I feel like I'm just putting water on my face. It's like non existent unless I use a lot of the product. Could it be that I just got a bad bottle? :/
Answer :————————
I think you got a bad bottle. I read some reviews on makeupalley.com and i haven't come across any that said it was really watery
Yeah I would go back and say that you think you got a bad bottle and show them, they should give you a new one :] I think I'm gonna try super fit today so if I get it I hope its not watery!
Anyone tried the St.Moriz Instant Self Tanning Mist? What's it like?
by admin on Feb.02, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
I'm on this cheap website called beautyrocket.co.uk and i found it but how is it different to the moose? Is it harder or easier to use- this is my first time tanning!
Answer :————————
Hi Shhh….I bought the St. Moriz and used it but personally it wasn't the tan for me….I am currently using a product called HE SHEE and I find it really good….its an oil which spreads easier and you only need to use a small amount on your tanning mit and its cheaper than the Moriz….I have dry skin so I do apply a little moisturiser before applying the tan but friends of mine who don't have dry skin just apply it straight to their skin and it spreads evenly….I find the best results are when you apply at night and then next morning shower using a sponge and gently rub your skin and then re-apply….I hope this helps

Has anyone tried Maybelline's new SuperStay 24HR Makeup?
by admin on Feb.02, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
I wear foundation every day and sometimes it rubs off on my clothes which is really annoying. They say this foundation is transfer resistant and I am just wondering if it actually is. Please only answer if you have tried it and let me know how it worked for you. Thanks.
Answer :————————
Yes, I have been using it for about a year and it works amazing. It doesn't make you break out, it actually helps to dry out the pimple. And it stays on great too. It isn't expensice (I think its $7.00) and it works perfect for me. I highly reccomend it! And also, it comes in a small tube, but it lasts for a long time and you can carry it in your pocket anywhere. Just make sure you get the right skin tone, because I once got a lighter color, and it looked abnormal. So yeah, you should definetley get it!
Who has tried something for the expression lines around the eyes that really worked?
by admin on Feb.02, 2010, under Makeup Q & A
I hate my expression lines around the eyes, when I smile is when I can see them bmore and I'm not even 30 so I know they are not from age. has anybody tried something that really worked I know alot of creams but so expensive and none of them have really worked.
Answer :————————
For wrinkle or lines, you can't really concealed it. If you do, it will look obvious. Its only good if you try to fade it out.
You can use an anti-age cream or product like form the Olay product lines, and then for concealer you can use Maybelline age-rewind concealer. Then use a powder to set it.
